On top of listing used plugins in a config (to control how they are loaded), vim.pack stores extra information in its lockfile: nvim-pack-lock.json in user’s config directory. It contains JSON encoded information about the current state of all plugins managed by vim.pack. It is meant to be treated like a part of the config (like tracked via version control, for example) but should not be modified by hand.
